A 95th minute equaliser stopped the Reds from taking all 3 points at the Air2Root Stadium as Ex Alport loanee Jayden Hunter came back to haunt the Reds.
Changes were made to the squad as Alex Hughes missed out through injury, but Richie Sutton returned after illness. The Reds started the game well and deservedly took the lead in the 11th minute, after a mazy run and shot by Ollie Pope, which was parried by Stan Amos. Both Matty Birchall and Ryan Allcock pounced on the loose ball, but it was Ryan who got there first and applied the finishing touch. It was almost 2, minutes later, but Sutton headed over when well placed.
The Reds sat back and twice almost conceded when the visitors rattled the crossbar. The 2nd half was a scrappy affair, with neither team creating anything of note, but the Reds were made to pay for taking control in the penalty area when failing to clear the ball from a corner in the 95th minute as Jayden Hunter scored the winner, much to the delight of the Casuals players and visiting supporters. Seconds after the goal, the referee blew for full time, much to the disappointment of the Alport fans.
We move onto FA Cup action on Saturday(19th) when NWCL side Barnoldswick Town visit the Air2Root Stadium.
