Back in March the 2019/20 season was terminated and our Club Committee joined together to create the #SaturdayDonation. An initiative we felt was a no pressure way of getting your support rather than going down the route many clubs did with a Just Giving page.

Each Saturday individuals would donate £10.00 to the Club Account an equivalent amount you would spend supporting Alport on a Saturday via gate entry, programme, golden goal or refreshments.

With the 2020/21 season now temporarily suspended we thought this would be a great opportunity to update you all on the current total raised from March....

An incredible £9,836!!

Former Chairman and now Manager Luke Goddard led the thanks “The support from this has been overwhelming, way and above what we expected but again sums up our great people. When the first lockdown arrived this idea came to me one evening and I shared it in the hope of raising a couple hundred pound to help with the club costs such as electric, water & all the fees to keep the ground alive.

So many of you consistently supported from players, staff, committee and fans every Saturday until June/July, on behalf of the Clubs Committee we owe you all a massive Thankyou”

We are now inviting the #RedArmy who are able too, to get behind this initiative again to help the Club maintain Yockings Park over this next period where we can’t host matches, events and pursue sponsorship as businesses battle the challenge of Covid19.
